Yeah - more I'm thinking about this the more I may go the Whipple my ride route ... As, I'm betting it's going to be North of $120K then add mark ups and ... :explode:
I’m pretty happy with the flex tune and throttle controller. Car is plenty fast and handles great.
If I do anything one day it would be ESS centrifugal supercharger

Yup - already contacted my dealer as soon as the order banks open 👍

Look at those exhaust tips -

They just killed all the price gouges on the low mile GT500. Those guys are screwed now GT 350 are screwed super snake big time screw they can't sell those already and the build quality on those is not like a factory Mustang, especially with the paint those cause it basically chopped and put together in a warehouse. They just killed the whole Shelby line and the dealers who are holding them. There's already two year-old leftover super snakes. If you wait long enough, you'll be able to get one for $50,000 off.
Personally, I think the car is mostly badass.
Only things I don't like much are the exhaust tips and rear wing.
Also think the SC name is lame effort.
And since it's not offered in a manual, I'll be keeping my Tremec DH
Sure would love to see the price though
considering a loaded dog horse with composite wheels is about 90,000 I'd say this car is gonna be 100,000 with the package with the composite brakes 115,000

Thats basically a gt500 replacement with much uglier Body ..who designed this a 3 yr old ...and the price will be even more stupid ...what happened to smooth flowing sculpted body lines ..SQUARE EXHAUST TIPS REALLY !!! I will be going and getting a Z06 or a ZR1 before I plunk down a 100k a 4300lb Mustang that's shaped like a brick ..the last gt500 was atleast ok looking !!!
If you're gonna buy a ZR one you should wait about a year and a half to two years when there's two year-old leftovers on the lot and you can get 50 or $60,000 off never fails. Look at the history look at the z06 is all on the ground now. The dealers will tell you oh well does he all want? It's gonna be different no it's not look at the previous zr ones. Look at what a GT500 2022 sells for with low miles as opposed to what the retail was now those prices are gonna drop now, but I'm just saying Chevrolet builds twice as many Corvettes with all variance combined at least twice as many, then Ford builds Mustangs.

Ok - I can comment on the C8 Corvette talk, I bought a 2025 Z06 pretty loaded for $25,000 under sticker about 6 months ago - hated it, way to loud in stock form, really goofy exhaust sound. At 6'2 had a bitch comfortably fitting in (thought it would be ok except after 50 miles I was screaming to get out). Even after buying that much under MSRP I still lost money on re-sale. Watch your butt on Corvette sales, just saying.

You have an issue with the rear view mirror on the mustang? I'm 6'1" and thats the only issue. I can barely tilt the rearview to get a good view. Its right at the edge of where it can pivot. On my 16 gt350 i don't remember that being an issue.

OP, I respect your decision and agree with you. I think I’m going to get one too.

I'm 6'1" and have the same issue. I have the mirror as far as it can go and it's still not enough. Happy to know I'm not the only one

TRX used to own a GT350 and GT500.
I will be ordering one along with my dad who will be getting one to match his GTD. I hope they offer more diverse color options for the car besides for the standard DH colors.

assuming the price isn't totally insane and i can get an allocation, i will probably be getting one as well. hoping to get a Molten Magenta with track pack and maybe carbon exterior pack, but we'll see how badly reality crushes the dream. also kinda anxious about the cf wheels' durability for everyday driving. i am certainly not in the same financial position as most of the other people in this thread that plan to order one, but i don't plan to just let it sit in the garage. my '24 DH has 40k miles, and if i do end up getting an SC, it's going to be taking over Azureus' spot as daily driver

order banks have not actually opened yet. the order guide and price list isn't even out yet. i plan to order a Dark Horse SC as well, just hoping that the price isn't too insanely high. i'm just stuck between whether to get Argon Blue, Orange Fury, or Molten Magenta...
Good luck! I remember when you got your '24 DH!

Agree - colors are a little sad ...

So after digging into this a tad more I see reports that there are quite a few differences between this and the Premium HP DH, suspension upgrades, dual clutch Tremec tranny, 5.2 Predator cross-plane crank...

  • Engine Type: 5.2L Supercharged V8.
  • Supercharger: Eaton TVS R2650 unit.
  • Transmission: Seven-speed dual-clutch Tremec transmission (DCT).
  • Performance: Positioned between the standard 500-hp Dark Horse and the 815-hp Mustang GTD, it is expected to produce approximately 800 horsepower.
  • Availability: Set to go on sale in March 2026 with deliveries starting in the summer.

Dont let the carbon fiber wheels scare you.......a few guys have put 70K to 80K miles on theirs now (GT350Rs) I have put 16K trouble free miles on mine....including 3 trips from So Cal to Cave Creek.......and if my buddy gets me a garage spot for this weekend .....well lets just say if you see a bright Green Huracan Tecnica and a Performance Blue 350R making some noise around Cave Creek this weekend....that will be me ....lol if no garage F250 it will be .......will see how it goes......

eh, i wouldn't say "scared", more inexperienced. i haven't driven something any meaningful distance with cf wheels, so i don't know how strong and durable they are. on one hand, it's carbon fiber, which is really strong, and if there was a problem with cf wheels, Ford would've stopped using them. on the other hand, i've seen a GT500 CFTP get towed in with one wheel's rim completely ruined. i think it's just the all-or-nothing failure mode and the visual intensity (if that makes sense) of that failure that makes me anxious, combined with the cost of a single wheel.

also, guessing you're talking about the toybarn off Cave Creek and Lone Mountain, right? that's further south than where i live, but they're actually building yet another one up near the Dutch Bros further up Cave Creek, but not quite to Carefree Highway. if you ever stop at that Dutch Bros, shoot me a PM and i'll come by and say hi

So had anyone seen this color IN PERSON - thinking of ordering the SC in it ...? Or just stay with that great looking blue on the press release car ...

Ford has about 30 pre-production SCs built, maybe 4 or 5 of them are this color. i am assuming they are press vehicles, so just keep your eyes out for the reviews and you will probably see your spec
