If you drive at "Ludicrous" speed you won't hear it... or so I'm told.

It does do the three flash thing, tilt up/down but release before lock and it will only blink three times.
Really wish this could be changed to something like 5 or 6 flashes. I've changed it on several older Ford and Lincoln vehicles using Forscan, but cant seem to find the option in these new Mustangs.

Why?

Because our friends at the Federal government said so

Same reason the high beam indicator has to be blue

I believe it is covered in FMVSS section 101, which also specifies a audible noise for turn signal failure ( fast clicking noise ) but it might be in FMVSS section 108

Anytime you ask why something is "that way" on your car, chances are there is some facet of the FMVSS that made them make the car that way to appease the Feds.

I don't even hear mine over my music but it's probably because I disconnected the dash speaker. It still makes noise just really quiet.

This can be updated via FORSCAN. I've run across it somewhere but don't have it in front of me.

ridiculous i know. my 16 yr old daughter rates the sound of a car's flasher. she finds the s650 rates pretty high actually. this coming from the guy who'll sit with the truck door open, keys in the ignition, door chiming away while I write up my job paperwork though 😉

The Mustang click is far better than some out there. So are the chimes and stuff.

Why did they have to make the turn signal "CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK" so dang loud and annoying? I'm a woman with a noise issue called MISOPHONIA. Basically loud repetitive noises make me want to run around screaming while pulling out my hair. I've never done that but the thought has crossed a many a time. Tonight was 1 of those times and I was only in the car for 20 min max. I looked everywhere in the car, owners manuel, and I asked Gemini but they all basically said, "Grow Up". Jk! Apparently its part of the programming and can't be changed. I have been able to in my previous cars though. So I'm just gonna have to make sure I have my music turned up loud enough that all the snobs complain when I go past them at the speed of light so I can't hear the turn signal noise.

Wait? Does anybody even know what the speed of light even is???
You sound like you have issues. Put a helmet on and go play and touch grass. It does wonders. Now you could use hand signals and not the turn signal to avoid the noise.

I never forget to turn it off after a shallow turn if it doesn't go off on it's own.

I laugh that turn signal noise is really something to get spun up about. I would trade out a lot of problems for that one,..... 🤣

Thought of buying a BMW? Apparently they don't have indicators.
I have never even thought about it. They are just too ummm expensive for my taste. You see I like to DRIVE THE HELL out of a car and those are way to pricey for what I'll put them through.
