We’ve organized something the Mustang7G community has been asking for — a comprehensive S650 Mustang Wheel Fitment Guide built with help from WELD Racing and Forgestar.

The 2024–2025 Ford Mustang S650 introduced the widest range of factory brake configurations, wheel diameters, and fender widths of any generation to date. Understanding these differences is critical when upgrading to aftermarket wheels.

This guide covers all major trims — EcoBoost, GT, GT Premium, Dark Horse, and Dark Horse Handling Package — and details which sizes clear factory brakes, offer flush fitment, or require minor adjustments like camber or fender extensions.

  • WELD Racing: Belmont, Laguna, Solana, Ventura Drag, RT-S Forged Wheels
  • Forgestar: F14, CF5V, CF5, CF10, D5 Drag Series

I'm surprised you managed to get 18's that clear the 6 piston brembo's, unless I'm reading that wrong and those are rears

Whats the reasoning for not recommending the 20's?

So the 18x10s are rears only. Fronts you are limited to 19inch or larger with the bigger Brembos.

20x5s are an aggressive fit and usually sit right on or near the fender so it will need alignment adjustment to avoid having the tire catch the fender.

Thanks. That's a nice tool that'll save many a lot of grief.

Did you do one of these for the S550?
I did a search on mustang6g, but couldn’t find one.

We actually haven't since the only complexities for the S550 are really around the GT350 / GT500 platforms.

All of our S550 Fitments are here (excluding the above platforms): https://dragracingwheels.com/mustang-5-0l-2-3l-2015-2023/
  • You can typically run 18-inch fronts with 17-inch rears with no modifications.
  • If you want 15-inch rears, you’ll need some extra clearance work.
  • On S550 Mustangs, 17-inch fronts require base brakes or drag brakesto clear properly.
If you’re unsure, just reach out.

Our team personally reviews every order to make sure your wheel setup is correct and ready to bolt on before it leaves our warehouse.
