What is "continuous gear display?"
It's an A10 thing. The S650s aren't programed from the factory to show the gear number on the cluster unless you use the paddles. But you can use FORScan to enable it so it does. πŸ‘πŸ»

I drove mine for 4 hours.

Man, it is really, really tough not to just mash the pedal down and stay in triple digit speed territory when way out in the middle of nowhere with multiple lanes on the interstate and light to no traffic.

What did I do today? Finally broke 1,000 miles!

Ironically after trying all the other driving modes and seeing what the car is all about, I have settled into just Normal Drive Mode with Track Mode exhaust and Comfort Steering, along with TC off. At least Normal Mode is predictable for me in how the gear changes occur. Most of my driving is in traffic, so what's the difference...

Also today in the parking lot at Lowes, a guy about my age (50's 60's) stopped me to tell me that is the most beautiful Mustang he had ever seen. I'm sure there are many more cool looking than mine, but damn, I'll take the compliment!

Also installed another Billetworkz shift knob. I have 4 and this might be my favorite now.

S650 Mustang What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ IMG_7420

I don't know, but I think that's one of the best things about these cars! All the attention they get.
I can't hardly get to the gas station without someone rubbernecking around to watch me go by or having someone come up and tell me what a beautiful car I have!

And you do too! Still love that silver, man!

It's crazy to have a car that gets attention. When I had my Prowler it literally caused accidents from rubberneckers who rear ended the car stopped in front of them.

I have one; thanks for validating the desire to have one for each season. Do you lock yours with blue loctite?

For a life-changing experience, get an MGW X-spec short shifter. Haven't missed a shift in 6,000 miles.

Ah, I see that's not your thing. Regardless, enjoy.

It's an automatic...lol. I got the shifter because I hated the thumb release at the top of the stock shifter. I constantly was pulling the shifter back too far into manual mode, which is a horror if you don't realize it.

In an auto, the Billetworkz shifter releases by knuckling down on the collar below the knob which is a much better design for me. I can now grab the top of the shift knob and pull back without pulling back too far by accident.

The cooler look is just a bonus for me.

No need for Loctite, they screw on pretty solid.
