Out of the Loop. What's the deal on the current stop sale?

I haven't been paying attention to Mustangs recently and I was trying to buy one this week. I had had two dealers tell me the stop sale is for all new Mustangs and they don't know when I can buy one.

Does this stop sale apply to all Mustangs or just certain date range?

I've heard the remedy date will be anywhere from next week (October) to 1st quarter 2026.

Any details shared are appreciated.

I just picked up a GT about a month ago now and mine did not have the stop sale. The 2 Dark Horses i looked at did however.

Mullinax Ford told me today that Ford is going to send more information on 9/26 regarding remediation for this stop sale issue.

Last I read… if the Mustang was built between June 2024 and July 2025, there’s a stop sale. Yet I bought mine in May because they didn’t issue the recall yet.

The stop-sale is stupid as hell and somewhere Ford pissed off NHTSA in the past.
