Thanks guys. It is true that lack of quality and availability aftermarket parts than M3s.
interior quality plastics and cheap parts (which I can get over with) oem trunk tray, Ford put piece of cardboard.... some mustangs exterior panels are not lined up and saw some gaps .
MSRP: $86K M3 to MSRP $79k mustang.
Don't get me wrong, I am not talk down on Mustang. It is fact that they use cheap parts compare to price that they are charging.
I am just on the fence, may be because used to BMW.

No offense taken or implied. Just ask yourself which of those cars will break down the least, and which one costs less to repair, maintain, insure and register. Which one will make you smile the most when you hit the gas and the twisties??

I really appreciate the engineering of the Corvettes and the looks/performance of the Porsches. Though I am able to own any, I choose the GT350. It speaks to me. My point in all of this is that your car should speak TO you, and if not, it should al least speak about you.

Not interested in 4-door sports cars so I compared and test drove 2- M2 manual's before buying the Dark Horse Premium for $63k , not $80k which is stupid money for a Mustang imo and I found that the manual in the BMW was no where near as good as the Tremec feels. very vague and rubber feel, not notchy. Also clutch had no feel either.
The quite 6 cylinder is not in the same league as the V8 visceral sound, period!
I also found the interior quality on the Dark Horse to be very nice for a sports car. To me the BMW was really nice too but not that much better... looked the same as my wife's X5 to be honest.
It's all plastic and touch screens at the end of the day.
Also the BMW would be much more to maintain and losing a warranty when I tune is way more difficult to swallow.
Also my wife said the BMW did not fit me, I look like a Muscle car guy, not a ricer BMW preppy guy... just my 2cents .

Ex ARMY Veteran here! I just ordered 2026 Mustang Dark Horse Premium HP, Recaro with Tremec.
new to American muscle cars. Been BMW fanboy had F80, G80 M3s.
Still looking in to Base M3 with 6MT and Dark Horse.
Pro and Cons. $$$ M3 is better buy with quality but never had V8 before.
I want you guys opinions

So much wrong with this post:
1- anyone who starts out with “ex army” needs to feel special
2- claims to have ordered a DH but still claims to be looking into an M3 and a DH
3- says M3 is a better buy with quality

How do you look into a car you already ordered?
If the other car is a better buy with better quality why didn’t you order that?
In a later post you go on to say “you are on the fence between a Mustang and M3”

I call BS- post your order sheet from Ford with your priority code the dealer prints out.

Ford made it clear that the Dark Horse was a regular line model, not a special edition (like the Mach 1]. As such it should continue along with the EcoBoost and GT. As far as changes, don’t expect much for a 3rd year model. Now we are expecting a new top of the line model but no real info on specifics yet.

The Dark Horse is a special edition it is a step up on the Mach 1.
