If you planned on picking up your Mustang soon good luck. They just came out with a recall and don’t anticipate a remedy until Q4 of this year. The recall is for “ FORD 25C39 LIGHT EMITTING DIODE DRIVER CONTROL MODULE REPLACEMENT”….pretty sure this applies to those trying to purchase one off the dealership lots as well.

I was literally about to get home to take delivery of my car which is already waiting at the dealership.

If it’s a 2026 I don’t think there would be an issue as they would apply whatever remedy to the new vehicles being produced.

Yeah but production is starting in September and if the remedy isn’t until Q4 then I’m gonna be delayed a couple more months atleast. And I already sold my 14 for the down payment :( driving the hoopty thinking it would only be a month or 2

They won’t let you take delivery of it now and just bring it back when the remedy is available? That doesn’t even Makes sense to me. Especially if you’ve already started financing it you’re paying for a vehicle you can’t even touch, are they at least giving you a rental?

It would be different if it was like a couple weeks away or something, but to say all the way until Q4 is quite a bit of time still

They are refusing to let me take delivery of it straight up. Until the remedy is applied which makes sense. Due to is being a safety issue. A rental is not needed this is my second car. I just really wanted to be able to drive it before the weather goes south here since I live in the Midwest. I am just completely SOL due to it being financed already man , this is so discouraging

A bit more detail as to the nature of the problem.

Ford Recall: 25C39
NHTSA Recall: 25V519

Makes/Models/Model Years:
LINCOLN/NAUTILUS/2025
FORD/MUSTANG MACH E/2025
FORD/MUSTANG/2025

Potential Number of Units Affected: 21,765

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2025/RCAK-25V519-0858.pdf

"Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Lincoln Nautilus, Mustang Mach E, and Mustang vehicles. The LED Driver Modules may contain a burnt diode, which can cause the low-beam and highbeam headlights, daytime running lights, front position lights, and front turn signals to fail in the affected headlight...As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

"Exterior lighting failure can reduce visibility for the driver and other road users, increasing the risk of a crash."

"Dealers will inspect and replace the LED Driver Modules, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed August 25, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C39."

At this point one almost starts to feel for rtr, they fix their light issue and then ford goes and funks theirs.
