My little tornado strikes again — every time we drive, the center console turns into a war zone of toys, snacks, and random trinkets. I’m this close to grabbing a door-side storage box to corral the chaos. Yeah, I know they don’t look like they hold much, but honestly? It’d probably be plenty of space for his little “treasures” to mess with.

Has anyone here tried these door-side storage boxes? Do they actually stay put? Can they survive a kid’s daily chaos? Spill the beans — I’m desperate for solutions before my next road trip turns into another cleanup mission! TIA!!!

I didn't try those exact ones, but, I did try these, and they do stay in place. I can even put my phone or my wallet or keys or whatever in my side one (not all at once, but it helps).
I am sorta ok with the center console storage adder, it mainly just keeps things sorta in order, but does limit how tall things can be.
But for me, the door ones alone stay and don't move, these don't require any tape either and can be removed lickety split to be washed after someone gets salt or ketchup in them, haha

I had these exact same ones. They felt cheap when trying to close the door and they move when you grab the door handle from the inside so I removed them.

I dont allow crap in my car.......the sound of the motor should be entertainment enough......

snacks- should have ate before we left......waiting until we get home until they ate again didnt kill them....

My wifes car.....total disaster .......I gave up on the vacuum and just opened all the doors and used a leaf blower to clean it out lol

Leaf blowers, who uses one to dry the car off?
I do and I get strange looks from the neighbours.

I've used leaf blowers to dry my cars for decades. Because I live on the side of a mountain, my neighbors can't see me wash cars. If they could, I don't care what they think.

Secondly, seat belts must be fastened before my car moves, no eating in my car, no drinking in my car and no stupid people in my vehicles. There is enough life and death to watch out for when driving to have that going on. My cars look brand new when I get rid of them for more than average money. I got a helluva trade for my Mustang partly due to that.

I use the door cups and love them. They fit tight, are sturdy and very handy. I got a set for my 2019 and had a set waiting when my 2025 came in. They don’t hold much but they give you a place to put those small items that pop up in life.

So, look into duct tape and correct sized handcuffs, all likely a better solution. Like others, I don't put up with that shit in any of my vehicles. Hungry? Get out. Snacks? Eat them somewhere else. Even wife no longer tries to bring her coffee.
