I’m torn with who I should get my car tuned with. I’m looking between p1 tuner, Lund, and shoemaker. I’m new to v8s and mustangs so I don’t know much about how to go with.
Edge Autosport is going to be tuning S650s. Alan at Edge on FB is looking for cars to tune to get their base map set.

The shop is local but their tuner lives in Texas. He travels up to do dyno tunes or can do remote tuning on the dyno in Denver. They have a lot of V8 mustangs posted on their FB page but nothing on the website so I would reach out directly to them.

I went with Shoemaker Performance. No shade from me to ANY other tuner.... SP was just my personal choice. My advice is this: go with someone REPUTABLE and COMMUNICATIVE. I have tuned 6 of my 9 Mustangs and all tuners have been very intelligent and made amazing products at the end of the day when I stayed focused on the above suggestion. I have done Dyno tunes and e-mail tunes... all enjoyable.
For me tunes are the spice of life.
Just remember, unless you are modded appropriately you may not see large power gains from the tune. They are SO much more than power.... they add drivability and enjoyment more than anything IMO. Throttle response, fuel mapping, transmission tuning (for us automatics)... that's the real secret sauce.
I will have my tune this week (I'm guessing on that, sent stockfile today, may take them a few days)... You'll see my comments on it after I drive it a week or so.

My choice would be Wengerd… I had his 91/flex and E85 tune for my 2019. Everything was perfect, answers emails almost instantly. I thought I had a small issue with my e85 tune and sent him a data log, within 10 minutes I had an email from home stating no issues logs look great. Look on the M6G forums and you will see how many people rave about his tunes and customer service.

I’m down to choosing between Wengerd and DRP Motorsport. I can tell you that I’ve been getting really prompt responses from DRP. I asked Wengerd a question at 11pm CT and got a response right away as well.

I hear Wengerd and Shoemaker are geniuses. I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of a few issues. Having talked to a few peeps over the past week, it appears that the HPTuners Beta tuning product is good, it works, but it's not fully developed. MAF Tuning is still peculiar, and Speed Density isn't quite setup either. I've only wrestled with MAF so far, and it's not quite right, but it *is* tunable; I'm dialed in now myself. You can also raise RPM limit, and remap the throttle, so if you're stock and buying a tune, and feel some 'oomph' on the butt dyno, chances are it's an optimized MAF with a slice of Power Enrichment going a little leaner, and a remapped throttle. For me, those have turned an already great car into a fucking monster. Purely FYI. Still looking for other tuners rolling their own.
