Looks like the 5.0 is going to be around longer than believed. Look at all the innovations which have gone into this engine over the years.

The V8 is not going anywhere. No NA V8, No Mustang!
EVs are a scam, if anybody is aiming for net zero (which is also nonsense) they'd go for synthetic fuels.
My biggest problem with the S650 though is (TVN) Total Vehicle Networking. Which makes the car connected to the internet, on air downloads etc. There is little/no guarantee your data won't end up in the government hands and it makes it possible to kill-switch your car. This is quite Orwellian scary S!*T. We need to make noise and let Ford know we don;t want that or have the option to opt out by removing hardware that makes connectivity available and not just Software which we should never trust.

1. You do know there are plenty of non V8 Mustangs out there. I agree that there should always be a V8 but in the event it goes by the wayside I sure hope the Mustang (non EV) remains.

2. Believe whatever you want buy EV's are here to stay. There are companies working on synthetic fuels but it might be years before we see anything affordable. Personally I'd love to see it. I'n not a fan of EV's but I do not dismiss them either.

3. You do realize this is 2025, right? With all of the software built into today's cars TVN is an integral part of the package. It will never be removed. If anything it will become even more intrusive. If you do not want this buy an older car that doesn't have TVN capabilities.

I don't think it's Orwellian at all. It may not have been Ford's intent with all the online crap anyway but look what Californian's have to go through to get a gun then carry one. Try getting one in NYC. The govt. is all over those people's butts without computers. Insurance companies want to "voluntarily" access our cars to extort slightly lower rates from us. When will that be mandatory to have car insurance? Just wait.

Maybe it's a cost thing, but I think the Coyote would be better for transplants than an LS.
Especially in things like Miatas.

The LS is the same physical size regardless of displacement, Like the SBC it is a small package with HUGE aftermarket support for swaps

The Coyote is a lot bigger than a LS making it hard to squeeze between rails and towers.

And anything you need to get it to fit is going to be something you make.

Just trying to get the steering to work with a Coyote is a near impossibility.
