2026 FX Package revealed in new Adriatic Blue Metallic color

Never really understood the obsession with the 79-93 foxbody. It had a long run and got people excited about the mustang again, as 70’s were a horrible decade for cars. US makers went small due to competition from Asia entering the US auto matket. But always thought the foxbody’s were absent the 60’s unique design. But what do I know. I’ve owned and sold a bunch of mustangs (1998,2006,2007,2015,2019,2020) my favorite still being my first- a 1998 GT. That all said, I find the FX Package alluring. Not sure why. I am definitely going to order an S650 before the end of its run, I think 2027 will be the year, so hopefully the Orange Fury sticks around for one more year.

ford is always stingy with the orange colors. Twister Orange, competition Orange, code orange or anything like those are what I’m hoping for

I never liked the 4.6 engine. The 302 was a really good engine that could make decent power cheaply, and it was simple and easy to modify, but to me the 4.6 was a bit of a boat anchor. I also didn't like the body shape between 1994 and 2004. The later versions and Cobras were ok looking, but to me the mid to late 90s were like a malaise era for Mustangs.

Even the seats and the interiors in those cars sucked in my opinion. I test drove one once when I was feeling desperate to buy something new for variety, but I just couldn't do it.

Looking at sales, Fox averaged 173K per year while the later Mustangs 143K per year, so lots of people agree with you that the late 90s cars were ok. I guess it's good there's been some variety in Mustang designs so people with different tastes end up buying.
