What does that do?
I believe it's for show, even though no one's going to see it. Or maybe it's thougher than OEM Ford junk.
The main reason I installed was to have a drain plug for changing the fluid. I’m tracking the car, so I plan to change the fluid each time I change the axle oil, which is roughly every four track days or around 500-600 miles.

As a secondary benefit, it is aluminum and has cooling fins, so it should help with cooling the fluid. It’s definitely not for weight savings. The stock plastic pan probably weighed 1 pound and the PPE pan was probably 5 pounds. It’s a very solid pan.

Yep. That's why DH weigh so much. You got a bunch of extra equipment for track. Coolers and all. Just noticed the GTs weigh a bit less than DHs because of it. Then you dlap a Whipple on and you really got some weight

What coolers does the Dark Horse have? I bought the Handling Package model.

I'm really not sure. Never looked. But I believe there's a transmission cooler in the front vent on the driver's side, and supposed to have auxiliary oil cooler for the engine. The thing has to much extras, is why it weighs more than a GT. Mine probably weighs even more because of Outlaw alloy hub half shafts and Stop The Hop which is the model with more upgrades. I wanted to build a lite Fox Body with a Gen 2 or 3 coyote, but it got too complicated. But there are parts GTs don't have. Going to have to figure it out. But I do believe DH are a few hundred lbs more than GTs. Not to forget Magnaride must have extra weight not to forget the HP. I don't even know if mine has HP or not. Got it ever so slightly used.

You'd know if it was HP because the sticky Trofeo RS tires would be tossing gravel all up under your fenderwells and if you drove more than 60mph in the rain you would be sideways in the road at speed.

According to the window sticker, my 600A HP, came with engine oil, transmission, and differential coolers as std equipment.
That makes sense. Track racing is extremely demanding. When the DH came out it was a dream come true for track racers, especially with the Tremec.

I looked at mine. No HP. Plus the original tires I took off, put A/Ws on. When I get home tomorrow I'll be driving home in a low mileage '19 Bullitt. Then my daughter gets to drive her mom's Mach 1 home. Maybe we'll race on the freeway a bit.

Well, It's all the same equipment as the Mach 1 which was a track racers dream. The DH is just an updated M1.

I like them both, but I need a car I don't have to worry about. As much as I like it, I have a buyer for my DH Premium. I turned down the Bullitt I was going to get. They're receiving a Nite Pony in a few weeks. The Bullitt had a few parts that weren't OEM,and it could give me problems when I install an SC.

They are amazing cars. Im not sure what you mean by "worrying about it", but I sold my M1 because I didn't want a track car as my daily driver anymore. What is this the Nite Pony you keep referring too?

Nite pony is a way to get decent rims on a base GT. BLACK 19S, black mirror bezels, black badges, and the most ridiculous thing, to me, a black painted roof. I don't mind black badges, but the grill horse has to be chrome. I may just get a base GT with 18s and put American Muscle Magnetic style 19s or 20s. Another thing is if you want Brembos on your base GT, the Nite Pony is not an option, it's a requirement.

this is how the Nite Horse looks. Nothing special, just a package.

I think the Nite Pony Package only works on certian colors, like the White one above. Otherwise the blackout thing just seems overplayed. Just my worthless opinion.
