Yes it is a challenge. My Shadow black DH is in it's heated garage beside my black GT both under a cover or after a couple weeks they will be covered in dust. They are a pain in the ass. However when the sun comes out it's worth it.

What’s the special “Black Wax” that you mentioned? Worth it?

I had mine done too. Anything to help out black. Even bird shit slid off of mine the other day. I also added 1" hubcentric wheel spacers. What a difference.

I'm sorry not sure what you mean by black wax? I use Meguiars wax and polish. I like how it looks when done. Plus it's easy to apply and polish by hand..

I had a 2013 Black GT and it would get dirty just sitting in the garage. I went through alot of detailer, ckay bars and special Black wax.

I can't remember the name of the wax I used. It was about 10 years ago. However, there are several still out there today. I believe all they do is not leave a residue that is as visible on black paint.

I threw away the label that was attached. Here is a pic in the meantime. I am going to the store where I bought it to get more info. A search for feather duster showed many similar to mine and even one that was even bigger. Glenn

I notice the other car (in the garage) is white in color, which is a great contrast just like an old Hollywood classic. But here again, I shudder to think about getting into such a black car after it sits in the sun for an hour in 110+ temps! Ugh!

That's what remote starting is for. I seldom get into my black car, or any car when it is hot! Even in the 1970s we were on vacation in Florida and I used to tip the valet to start my car and bing it to me when it was cool! Glenn
