Also spacers are illegal in Australia. I know many people that use them and none that I know off have ever had a problem, but better to be aware of it.

I was wondering about insurance, and whether spacers would void any claim.
Worst case, I doubt you could remove them if your vehicle is taken to a crash repairer straight away for assessment. Any excuse they can find...

Yeah I have the same concerns. A friend of mine who runs spacers on his S550 had a tyre shop refuse to replace his tyres. Told him to remove the spacers and come back. They're not allowed to touch the car or they become liable. Probably not all shops will be that way, but it can be a pain in the backside.

Seems like they might be more trouble than they're worth, esp if it means cutting/shortening factory studs to fit them or removing them for service/tyre changes and potential warranty/insurance issues.

I went through the same phase of really wanting to do spacers to get the nice stance. After seeing the issues with cutting the studs I abandoned that thought. It did sound to me like on the S650 the 25mm/1 inch spacers fit without needing to cut the studs, but that might be more of a poke than you want. In the end I just thought I'll keep it stock till I can replace the wheels with wider ones with the correct offset. Probably the best way to do it.

The other issue is that you will get more stone chips on the rear quarters when you push the wheels out.

I've been keeping an eye on what theyre selling/asking for once landed

But 88k must be close to cost price.
I think for vic drive away for a gt manual is about 87k

18km on the clock.
Mine had 26km on the clock when I took delivery.
You can see the Ford dealership sign out the front in two of the photos.
It's obviously new, not sure why it's listed as "Used".
Most likely the result of a cancelled order.
