Convertible Antenna Replacements?

Just to get this thread started

Anyone found any reasonable replacements for the factory convertible antenna. A stubby antenna? Or maybe something even smaller? I virtually never use the am/fm radio anymore and would be happy to sacrifice reception for something less obnoxious looking.

should fit. Still waiting for mine to get back from the shop, so haven't been able to try, but as I understand it the screw thread was not changed from the S550.

I like that tiny cap the first one includes. That's about as close as possible to having no antenna which is fine by me. Definitely report back with some phots and opinion on the reception if you get a chance. Thanks.

Bought this one and it didn't fit. The base is too small. Went with the lil stubby linked above and it looks good.

That antenna probably receives just about everything. You have AM, FM, Satellite radio, WiFi and Cell phone. Talk about a car being connected to the world!

Perfect, thank you. Agree that I hate the white advertising printing on there. Might dab some black paint on there to try to hide it. Annoying that they did that. Still a big improvement over the factory antenna, that's for sure!

Hey sorry it took me a while to respond. I literally had never used the radio until yesterday. Two different folks asked me about the reception so I figured I'd give it a try. No problems picking up FM stations. Tried all my usuals down here and everything came in strong. It's very flat where I live so I may not be the best person to ask, but from my brief experience the reception is strong.

As for fit ... like a glove
