I'll try to remember to give the internal navigation a try in the next few weeks, just for the hell of it, so I can say "been there, done that".

I need to get to Boxing Day without any speeding infringements.
That will mark 3 years of being a good boy, and get me back to zero points.
I automatically fire up Waze, irrespective of where I'm going.

When you accumulate 9 points, in less than the 3 years, you have to take stock of the situation.

12+ months on, and still not many S650s being spotted around Brisbane.

Having said that, I've been seeing another S650 at my local shopping center on a predictable basis, so I thought I'd knock up a flyer to place under the wiper, next time I see it.... just in case they weren't aware of this forum.

I'm keeping a few handy in each car when out and about.

I have an office guillotine, but use whatever to trim to suit.

umm might have to print a few, a cabriolet parked opposite bay to me on Monday carbon grey, they didn't have the rag top up, just open to all the world but on level 4 under cover. Canberra must have more S650's I am seeing at least one a week.

Foam Cannons & 1st World Problems

When I purchased the Griots Garage BF302 "The Boss" foam cannon in June 2024, as well as a rebuild kit to keep handy, I also purchased two additional 33.8oz (1L) jars & caps.

For the first few washes I was using the cannon like any other ordinary cannon.
That is, premix your soap with water at the desired ratio and foam away.

It took a few washes with the new toy before I tried the metering tips, a unique feature of the Griot's cannon.

Insert the appropriate tip to suit your pressure washer, and no more mucking around with premixing.
Just screw the cannon onto you wash bottle, and start using.

Once you try the auto-mixing, there's no going back!


.... and after a while you get towards the end of a bottle of GSF, Reset, etc and face a 1st world dilemma of the pickup tube not being long enough to reach down to the bottom of these tall bottles.

(As demonstrated with this photo showing the hood perfectly focused, and the subject matter.... )


So.... 15 months later and these two spare jars finally have a purpose!

No pick up problems now.
Labels removed from original bottles, so I know who's who in the zoo.


As much as I enjoy the scent of GSF, this is another reminder why NV Snow will be the go-to soap moving forward.

Aside from being a good soap, no stupidly tall bottles.

I like GSF, but I reckon NV Snow is a hidden gem often overlooked by the international professional trend setters. NV Snow is super slick and smells lovely. I could easily switch to using it over GSF and Reset.

Day 15 Notification - Is the CTEK Charger still working?

Whilst away overseas recently, the Mustang is being trickle charged with the CTEK MXS 5.0 charger but Adam still gets the Ford Pass app "Remote features disabled to preserve battery" and "Vehicle in battery saver mode" notifications.

What's going on here?
Has the CTEK charger failed whilst away?

No, probably not failed. Our cars still go into the battery saver mode after about two weeks without being started despite the CTEK charger being attached. Nature of the beast, but at least we can rest assured that our battery is charged and not being damaged/weakened by discharging.

Another great video, your video come in clutch when I installed my CTEK MSX 10. After a bit of reading and research, I decided to give the CTEK ago to see if it could wake my battery up, just happened to be the Bathurst weekend and Repco had 20% off the CTEK MXS 10 for $255.00. So far it has breathed new life into it, and I am not getting the notifications all the time, I saw a weird message pop up on the dash that indicated that some app had been in battery saver mode since I purchased the car, but not sure what it was, not up long enough to study it . Dropping the car into the dealer on Thursday for the third time to hopefully get the software update, I got the blank screen again two weeks back.

Waze

Just got an email from Waze...

Upon clicking on the "Drive Now" link, I discovered that you can actually use Waze from your desktop.
Never knew that.

Sure enough, it displays the same reports as on your phone, but with the advantage of much more screen real estate.

I have been testing Waze out since Wednesday a co worker suggest it too me after i had a close call four weeks back, I like it, andriod auto makes it so much easier to use to. Pretty sure I was doing 96 in a 80 zone going into a speed camera van, but no ticket yet. I was avoiding some idiot who merged into me at the time, so allot going on, speed, almost an accident, then speed van, I was not happy.

Situations like this remind me why I have a DIY front camera system!

A lot of the concrete wheel stops in my area just fit under the GT's front splitter.
Some don't - this would have hurt.

The camera & screen did it's job.

You see these wankers with tinsel draped over their cars, so, umm....

Was originally going to use sticky tape on the spoiler, but decided on a single piece, shut down with the trunk boot lid.

As per company policy, a big Bah Humbug to my fellow Mustang enthusiasts.
