That's how the repo driver can find the car.

I see many repo video's where the driver repo's the car evenwhen the owner is filling gas at a gas station, or on a roadtrip.

Some banks only approve loans when there is a tracker in the car.

If I found anything like that in my brand new car I would be furious. Sadley it was probably installed by a jack job installer and the wiring harness that it is spliced into is trashed. Also pretty unsure if it is a tracker it needed to be disclosed prior to the deal being done.

As other have said, l follow the wires and see what it is hooked up to.

See attached picture. The "FOB on a wire" comes out just below the steering column on my son's 2024 Mustang GT. We didn't see it in the manual and he hadnt seen it. Any ideas? The car was purchased new.

Many people don't realize that trackers and alarms are routinely installed by some dealers under the dash and never disclosed.

Whatever that is, it is 100% aftermarket and not supposed to be on a brand new car. My guess is its an alarm system, but regardless, I'd be back at the dealer asking for an immediate removal and explanation. And they better make sure the wiring harness isnt hacked. I would be pissed!
