Our total liability per covered vehicle under this warranty is limited to $9,500.00 USD (aggregate). Each covered component has its own aggregate value which when combined equals the total liability per vehicle. The engine is covered for $7500.00 USD and $2000.00 USD per transmission. These amounts cannot be combined together to aid in the repair of another covered component. In the rare case when the repair cost exceeds the actual cash value of the vehicle, we will refund the purchase price of the Whipple Supercharger kit(s) once the complete kit is returned prepaid to us.

In the event that the amount of any one authorized repair or the combined total amount of all authorized repairs meets or exceeds Our liability, Your Program will be deemed expired, and no further coverage will be afforded to You, regardless of the remaining time or mileage of Your Program’s Plan Period.

So you get back what you paid for a supercharger in the form of warranty if your motor does fail.

Use the warranty if you need to. If after a couple years your motor is still holding up, then modify further. Also lots of stories about the 10R80 eating itself so the transmission warranty (though limited) is nice to have as well.

Also I might have gone a post without mentioning this, but my cats melted on my stage 1 whipple tune, so...

Stolen from Facebook, somebody else's post:

I currently elected to go with the Whipple Gen 6x Stage 1 with the Whipple PowerTrain Warranty over the Ford Performance Whipple. My reasons why:

1. To have the latest Gen 6x Whipple unit/technology.
What does that mean? They are the same supercharger other than the sticker on the lid

@Lou G ..... regardless of any state's consumer protection act assistance unless a consumer has deep, deep pockets to hire experts and lawyers they have zero chance if they have modified any product. This is not to be confused with clear manufacturer negligence that resuts in class action lawsuits etc.
Luckily we have a cheap Consumer Disputes Tribunal which hears cases up to $NZ60,000. No lawyers, just claimant and defendant.
It's been useful to me a few times.
