Vibration

Do you have a resolution to the vibration yet? I also have a 24 GT convertible, performance pack, magnaride, active exhaust and about 7k miles. The vibration has been there since purchased as a new car. My vehicle also has an oscillating (roughly 5 second cycle) vibration at 70. The vibration is felt in the body as all the mirrors and seats visualy shake. The vibration is consistent no matter the road. I have road forced balanced the wheel assemblies twice and performed an alignment since I have the equipment at my shop to do so (no issues found). I would be very interested in an update. Does your vehicle have magnaride. I will be making a service appointment soon. Please keep us posted as I will do the same.

I do NOT have a resolution at this time. The car is been at my dealer for around 5 weeks. I feel like They have no IDEA what to do because I spoke with the advisor in person today and he said they are going to try and balance the tires this week. what a revelation after 5 weeks.
Anyway, the field engineer should be in town next week. I’ll update you as I have information.

Thank you for the reply. If the dealership has a NVH Pico Scope I would suggest that they use it. It can narrow down vibration frequencies to the various rotating assemblies in the vehicle. It connects to the OBD II port and requires vehicle info such as engine type, axle ratio and tire sizes. I have one at my shop that I will be using to help provide info to my dealership.

NVH Pico scope results were indicating an out of balance propeller shaft and front and rear tire vibrations (most intense frequencies matched the rotational speeds of these components). Do you have any updates on your vibration concern?

They also said it was the tires and drive shaft. I am not sure if they have finished the repairs or not.

I had the driveshaft replaced at my local dealer under warranty. Vibration has improved but has not been eliminated. Will revisit the dealership soon for further repairs.

Well that is a disappointment as my vehicle is having the DS replaced now.

Car is still at the dealership. Been there since August 13th. I am considering perusing Lemon Law by back. Anyone had experience with that?

GT Premium, PP, AE, NPP. I ordered it and felt did not need magnaride. I have it in Sports driving mode and did not think of changing the mode to see if any difference. Back to normal maybe? The security lugs are more mass, could this add to the issue? I am at dealer tomorrow. Will update if find anything.

PP=performance pack, AE=active exhaust, NPP=?. Love the feed back. I'm thinking it would be worth swapping wheels with a non performance pack (as long as they clear the Brembo brakes...) to see if it changes for the better.

So old shool1 is a non magnaride mustang convertible?

that is interesting. Is your dealer willing to do some trial and error with this?
It doesn’t seem like mine is really interested much. Idk.
