@n_123 ..... and dealers wonder why owners ask so many questions about service and repair work. I find if you are not specific and CHECK what has been done (if you can) you are at their mercy. Good for you for solving the problem and it was bloody complex at that!

Great find, had that happen to me on a Jeep. Loose front hub bolts after having dealer replace axle seals under warranty. Caused enough deflection to the right front wheel to where the rotor was scraping against the caliper bracket. Took it to the CJDR dealer (service director and general manager) who said there's nothing they can do since I tightened the bolts back after videoing the problem. I also went back and rechecked the bolts several times to see if they could back out on their own, never did. That was only part of the problem for that overall service, but it was the most egregious. I left them a bad review on Yelp and since bought a 2023 Dodge Durango (wife's), 2023 Jeep Gladiator (son's), and 2024 Jeep Wrangler (daughter's), but not from them.

This why, I won't let a dealer do anything to my vehicles, to date. The dealer culture is get the vehicle in and out as fast as possible. If the book says labor hours for the job is 2 hours and they can get it out in an hour, they still get paid for 2. This causes technicians to rush thru jobs and risk lives and vehicle damage. I've see it all. Forgetting to put oil in after an oil change, or double filling the crankcase during an oil change, forgetting to attach the intake tube to the throttle body, lug nuts left loose etc. etc. They don't touch mine unless it's warranted work. What's as bad is they feel you're incompetent and they are the all knowing. And then possibly void your warranty if you do your own work.

I love my car. Purchasing it was no problem. After the fact, Ford has just sucked. 3 different dealers for a few issues and servicing and they all dropped the ball. I've owned/operated an auto repair shop for 25 years and I'd just rather have my own guys work on it than bother with any warranty work. Not worth the frustration. I'll never buy a car from a Ford dealer again.
