I used the stock pads also with RBF 600 when I went to Daytona last year. Worked well for me also, it was my first track event so I wasn't going for the world record or anything lol.For now just the stockies. Totally adequate. I am using RBF 660 brake fluid though. When these pads are near dead I’ll find an alternative.
I'm not sure if you saw our drive around Sebring, but we also conducted some testing. Check out how Glen improved some of his cornering in the Dark Horse!I took the dark horse to Sebring this weekend and had a blast. Tried a new line through turn 1 that was probably a huge mistake. Have a lot of work to do on carousel and turn 17 too, but I’m still proud of it!

RBF600 is a great fluid. Very cheap for how good it is. I always used it in my Miata. I get the impression the DH brakes get way hotter though. I was split between RBF660 and 700, but 660 was a lot less expensive and held up great even cranking out ten laps in a row.I used the stock pads also with RBF 600 when I went to Daytona last year. Not as far as I could tell no. Turn 17/17a is a pretty long right hander and I had zero issues there whatsoever. I also never let my tank really get lower than 1/4.These are a pretty mean machine on the track. Did you have any issues with fuel surge? We are hearing more and more reports of it with these even as a stock vehicle. Very interested to know and if so what conditions?
That’s very interesting. At Charlotte, the oval is a huge left hander. I was probably running that between 100-130 mph for a long stretch of it coming into the S lap after lap and had no issues when I was at the FP racing school. But to be fair they kept them super full on gas the whole time.Ah! Stick with the rights. It seems to be more apparent on the big lefts. I had someone here in AUS at HALF a tank that was playing up which was very surprising. I have been out testing our KPM800 module and it completely eradicates the issue! Strangely enough it seems to be a problem on other cars of this era too
