8,000 miles on my 2024 GT premium ..had the engine tick and rear wheel bearing click ,happen at 1,000 ..nothing else so far…but my opinion with all this composite plastic for the valve covers and transmission pan and basically a small computer with an CPU and the screens this car won’t be long term keeper ..things will rot ,computers will fry not like the old basic carb classics

Count me as another one who'd have liked a paper manual. None availble from Ford, and Helm's website said no stock, so I tied up a printer long enought print the PDF off the Ford site, and punched it for a 3 ring binder, and now can look at it any time.
I work in service at a Ford dealer, the only issues I've see on a '24 is batteries, we've replaced several. I've had a '73, 06, 07, 08, 12 and 14, and loved them all, especially the one of four 2012 GT with the glass roof.
I recall an article in one of the trades a few years back taaking a poll as to whether people would consider a 1% failure rate in a new car to be acceptable. Every one polled said yes, but the article then pointed out that due to complexity and the number of systems in a new car, a 1% failure rate would mean that 23 things would go wrong with each car!
I didn't like the way my 10 speed shifted and asked the trans tech if there were any updates for it, he told me that with only 300 miles on it, just drive it and don't be a pussy and it would be ok. I am now at 900 miles, and he was right!

Thanks for the confirmation on the battery issue.

Regarding the batteries, I've not herard about them not being fully charged, or sitting or anyting like that, but we all think that the AGM batteries are crap, and I replace them 2/1 over lead acid ones.
The second night I had my car, I sat in it for 45 minutes with the key on and not running tryiong to get into the owners manyal thru the screen. The next mornig I access Oasis, and my VIH had multiple U codes in connected data, apparently it didn't like me having the car switched on. A few norma day sdriving and there were no more codes. U codes do not set any kind of warning light, so I would not have known otherwise.

What is a good replacement for the Ford AGM battery?

A vehicle equipped with an AGM battery needs an AGM battery, I've had cars come in with regular lead acid batteries in place of AGMs that have had weird electrical poroblems because of that. I think the advice given above is good, keep it charged with a tender if not a daily driver.
For a period of time last year, Ford was unable to provice AGMs to us for some reason, and they authorized us to use a GM Delco equivalent, and I saw no difference in them.

This

Why on earth would you downgrade from an AGM to an SLI? Ford Kuga / Escape drivers are much happier now they fit AGM batteries rather than SLI that don't fail when you look at them wrongly!

They are all Lead Acid batteries, just different construction

And yes, the charging regime for AGM is different to SLI so if you do change you need to get Forscan out and change the settings

AGM are lead acid, and much better than standard SLI. (Except SLI are cheap!)

I can't dispute anything in that article except life expectancy. We take in 50 cars a day, every day, and based on that, they do NOT last as long as a "regular" battery, and are on the average, $50 more to replace. The only variable here is that we are in Houston TX, and the extreme heat for 11 months out of the year may be a factor in lifespan. It can be 30 in the am and 75 in the afternoon.
I worked at a Lexus dealer for many years, and the morning after our first cold snap of the year, and the Monday after the first heat wave brought in 3x the battery complaints. That dealership was crazy busy, we averaged 220 cars per day across the drive and our record for one day was 60 batteries! This was pre AGM.

I had my car delivered on Dec 30, I haven't driven it much, today it has 151 miles. I was getting deep sleep warnings so I bought a battery charger/tender. It uses 1.75 amps. When I connected it was around %20, 30 hours later it was fully charged. I will put the charger on it tomorrow to see if it has held the charge and if it does then I'm not worried about getting a new one, if it doesn't then I'm still not worried because the dealer will replace it.

When a battery sulfates from sitting a while, it takes a long charge to reverse it. The battery will not always accept a higher charge current available from charging so you either need to drive it far longer or put a charger on it. A tender will do the job but it takes a long time. I like a 10 amp maximum rate though the battery may only accept a few amps of that.
Mine took about 5 hours to top off so it wasn't down as much as your but the dealer clearly didn't charge the battery before handing the car off to me.
