I've had problems with red cars in the past. Once driving home from Canada, I was pulled over three times in my Supra. I talked my way out of all three tickets. :handsinair: And once I was picked out of a pack of cars. The car wasn't red, but out of 8-10 cars, the cop picked me. I asked him why because we were all going the same speed, and he said it was your turn! :giggle: Glenn

Same thing happened to me in my 2006 Daytona Charger RT. Mid pack of about 7 cars and I was in the only red one. Yes, we were speeding. I asked him why me of all of them and he actually said because I look like will pay. WTH?

I remember years ago, my wife and I were getting on the interstate in our Miata when a Yukon and some GM pickups were doing about 85 in a line. I slowly got beside them and increased to a little over 100 and they did too. They all hit their governor and I just slowly walked off then slowed down. I knew they had governors at around 99 or so at the time. We got a good laugh out of that.

H-Pipe turned up yesterday. Guess what I was doing yesterday afternoon:) My experience installing it via jack stands, yes it can be done after about 4 hours of dicking around (lost light and gave up aligning until this morning), and highly recommend removing the entire Cat back so cutting can be done. I learned some valuable tips when re-aligning the mufflers. Using a trolley jack and doing each side separately is the best way I found. And here is couple of before and after video's. Ignore the length of the first one. I was attempting to turn the remote start off but I was fat thumbing it with user error.

Hey Adam,
Sounds awesome, hoping to get H and Hotdog combination sorted after Christmas.......if I can find someone willing to let me use a lift for an hour, I can knock over myself.......and hang resonator on the wall in the garage

Its not too bad getting under using a jack and car stands, just alot of turtling on your back. Oh and I ended up with alot of bruises too but well worth it in the end.
Its Andrew btw :p

Yeah definitely get a lift if you can. A second set of hands too to help remove the back end of the exhaust. Be careful of the wiring for the solenoid valves. My plugs were super tight. Had to give them a few taps while putting pressure on the plug to loosen them off. There is a little clip to slide out first before unplugging. I had a few chucks taken out of my knuckles getting those bastards off. Make sure you get rid of that black spay (that looks like was put on by a 5 year old with a hose) from around where the rear clamps will secure themselves. Oh and I would highly recommend after a week or 2 to check the alignment of the exhaust tips. The clamps used for the back end of the pipe may feel tight but after a bit of heat they can become loose and cause the exhaust to change alignment. I needed to go back under and realign while tightening up. Has been fine ever since.

You will definitely not regret doing it :p

I see you have the Hustle Performance H pipe. Mine turned up a few days ago.

I was looking to get a Steeda from Mustang Motorsport but they have been out of stock for months. Last I heard was Jan before they are back.

The Hustle was $400 delivered in the Black Friday sale, a fair bit less than the Steeda. I've not put it on yet but the quality seems good.

How did you go undoing the factory clamps given that the nut and thread is covered in that black crap they spray underneath?

That black crap comes off pretty easy. Most of it flakes off due to the exhaust getting hot. Just lightly tap around the nuts and slots. Make sure you clean the black crap around where all the clamps go to stop movement on the clamp.

You can also use a solvent on that black stuff to dissolve it, I had it on the exhaust tips and used a tar remover to lift it off, but turps would work as well.

I have a s550 and I know its the same with s650 but the fact remote start didnt come eith manuals is the biggest travesty of the 21st century.... it makes me cry even to this day.

Id be remote starting my car for fun just to absorb the sound

Edit: I know you can get kits etc to do it, but i dont like modifying, but i did read someone's report recently that now all that involves is getting a second set of factory keys and reprogramming something inside the car
