I am trying to get at the rear deck to stuff some foam in there and reduce some rattles, but i am having a heck of a time figuring out how to remove the c-pillar trim panels, which i understand is the first step to getting at the rear deck.

Anyone have tips or instructions? All the videos and steps I have found so far are for older generations.

I was able to pry loose the top of a trim piece, maybe about an inch, but that was about it. I was worried if I kept yanking on it more, I was going to snap the panel or tear something loose.

TIA

Do a search on Google. There has to be a dozen videos on the subject. Whatever you do, buy a trip removal kit from Amazon to make your life easier.

I have Googled this at least 20 times and searched Youtube. Everything i have found so far is for S550 or earlier. If you have a link, though, I would be happily corrected. Best i found was a YouTube short where they had literally already pulled everything off, and a windowtint guy saying he made a video but no link to it.

My came came from the factory with one of those half popped off. So I searched for all the photos of those I could find - eBay was the best. Then you can see where the clips are and what they look like. There are three if I remember and they just pull out. They're made this way because that panel has the airbag under it, so it needs to pop off when the charge goes off. Also, be aware that it has a plastic tether, to keep if from flying across the interior.

I think if you study photos, and pull at the right spot (next to the clip areas), you'll succeed.

Just did a complete deck lid removal etc to replace the rear speakers. No strange fasteners luckily. Is very similar to S550 videos on YouTube. Taking rear seats out is a must
And blue alignment tabs in rear need to be pinched with needle nose
