I went the opposite way. I’ve had 3 Mustangs, most recently a 2020 GT with perf pack. I ordered a 2024 Darkhorse in May, negotiated great price, and was very excited for it. Dealer and Ford did not communicate well and looks like it won’t be built this year. I decided to go a different direction and picked up a SS 1LE recently. Handles better than the Mustang, and this is subjective, but I think also looks great and sounds great. Enjoy your Stang, and wish me luck on the Darkside.
Having owned two (2) Camaro's both 2022's a ZL1 and an SS 1LE they did not handle any better at all vs the Mustang (and it's not subjective - it's fact) as a matter of fact the ZL1 was really bad and the blindspots are terrible within both vehicles. They both looked great and sounded pretty decent with stock exhausts. Other than that the refresh on the S650 has both of them beat. In case someone forgot - They were such non sellers that GM dropped them from production "AGAIN" - :cwl::crackup:

That may be the case. But let’s not act like Ford handled this rollout well. I ordered a Darkhorse because I wanted one, negotiated price and set aside 62k for purchase. 6 months later, no VIN. If Ford doesn’t want business, I’ll take my business elsewhere. The SS 1LE feels smaller, lighter, and more nimble than my last 2020 Mustang. If the numbers don’t show that, then that is just my drivers impression. I’m jealous of everyone who ordered and had their order honored, and as a longtime Ford customer, I feel slighted by the handling of this Darkhorse order.

Where have you been...? All of this crap has been going on since 2019 1/2 - 4.5 years ago, and it's no different than GM, Dodge, and the rest of the BS car manufacturers. I ordered a 2024 back on May 5th still hasn't been built. After 30 days of no movement I found one on the ground in Virginia.

Sorry about your order man. If it helps in the Bronco world it was common to wait 2 years+

I too was a ZL1 1LE fanatic. Incredible platform. I'm now in a manual Dark Horse. I'm learning to love it. I'm on average 2 seconds slower at my local track than the ZLE. Understeer and high speed mid corner confidence. I'm in the middle of upgrading all the suspension except for the mag ride. Between Steeda springs and bars, solid cradle bushings and SPL everything else, this will be as good, if not better than the ZL1 1LE. Steering feedback is another story, but we'll see what happens with the SPL arms and bushings up front. Good luck on your journey. PM me if you want a list of my shopping list. It was $8K Cad, so probably closer to $5k USD.
