I'm with you, and I feel like that should be the case. I still have yet to see a 2024 in the 11s bone stock, and 2018 GTs did hit that.

Funny enough, they gained weight over the years and ive heard that some programming changes (torque modulation) made 2020 and later cars a touch slower. Don't know how true that is.

Either way, I wish more S650 guys were testing! Just getting mine broken in and my track is closed for the year. Dragy soon i suppose.
the few videos I saw of the S550 hitting 11's stock were performance pack cars. that car doesn't have the performance pack, which after break in I could see hitting low 11's but I suppose we'll see. I had headers, tune and intake on my 2018 and I feel like my S650 could probably keep up with it in stock form. My 2018 would probably win from a dig but these 24's have such crazy top ends im fairly confident that the S650 would rein my old stang in

Yeah I’m sure mine has an 11.7 manually shifting the 10r.

my tracks closed before I could get good negative air runs in.

Yeah im going to wear out the rest of my tires hopefully Saturday at a drag event. I still have some life on the track tires. I know they aren't drag tires but I want to see how much of a difference it will be when I switch them up. I'll be happy with any time I run because I'll be learning the car. I hope it goes well.

Showroom Stock for Showroom Stock the S650 is not slower the S550. this internet craze of saying it's slower and heavier is just silly. sure some runs may be better than others but a good driver( not saying OP is a bad driver) on the same track running both cars and the S650 should win. I've owned both cars and my butt dyno says the 650 is quicker and better/more refined in almost every way
Except so far the evidence doesn’t back that up. Here’s a non performance pack gt bone stock running 2 tenths quicker than any s650 has so far. I’m not saying I won’t be proven wrong but so far the s550 is definitely quicker and by a substantial amount.

This was the point of my post. There were a ton of quick 18 GTs testing. We haven't seen hardly any 24s. The sample size is very low. I don't know that the s550 is substantially quicker, there were just substantially more people testing. I read one on M6G that was A10, CAI, and a tune, and were still in the 12s at 116. Would be nice to see some same track/same day to really see whats up like OP has mentioned.

Fair enough, like I said I’m not saying it’s 100% proven but the fact that standmode who whatever you have against him is definitely a pretty good driver, ran an 11.9 in his 2018 bone stock, but could only do 12.3 in his 2024 in great DA btw, and at the same track tells me it’s probably slower. Time will tell I guess.

Pretty sure S550s weren’t showroom stock in the 11s. I remember a tire got it there at the track. Granted this was 5+ years ago I’m trying to remember

I just went through it he was on a drag radial and full steeda stop the hop kit on the 11.9s

context on all this.

11.83 100% stock down to the tire. Until someone does this it’s absolutely fair to say the s550 is quicker.

Those cars have way better tires FYI. The current ones even on PP aren’t as good. Plus as we have said those are PP cars not base GTs on 255s

Comparing a PP with Magneride 3.73 Torsen rear end and fatter summer tires to a car with 3.55 non torsen and narrower A/S is not the same.

True but the dark horse has even better tires plus 500 hp and to my knowledge they haven’t touched 11s either. Like I said we will have to wait and see what happens. I’ll put it this way 11.80s bone stock is going to be difficult to do.
