Saleen - Are they in business? Ordered parts... nothing - 10/28/2025 [*update - product received]

Thats a shame. I recently saw their s650 saleen on youtube and thought they did some cool stuff on it. Elongated hood like 60's stangs being one of them.

I agree 100%. I come from Porsche & Ferrari... my first S650 and it got me looking at Saleen S650's.

Really cool... so I was totally surprised at what's going in. Disappointed really.

Let's hope I get the throttle controller and Saleen gets back on stable ground because I do like what they are doing.

Received the throttle controller "enhancer". Saleen changed the design so that there's no knob/adjustment. It simply intercepts the wiring to the throttle pedal. No other connections.

I was told they got rid of the know/adjuster for several reasons and that it's "set the way Steve likes it".

Ok... installed it. Trivial install.

Works great. Exactly like I would have set it to.

Totally got rid of the "lazy" throttle response.

I know there are many competing products out there, and I can't comment on those. But I will say the Saleen controller works great.

I didn't ask. I was offered a refund, but told them that if they actually have the part in stock, I'd rather have it than the refund. I got it.

I was initially dealing with a guy that handles "internet sales". He probably shouldn't be in that position. I called and got a woman (Spring is her name) and she handled it same day.

BTW, it was 2 months not 3 (not that there's much of a difference at this point).

Anyway, closing the chapter on this. Just installed today so there's no long term report here. But it's exactly what the car needed.

I've always loved the work Saleen has done. I hope they succeed. Always wanted a Saleen. One might be in my future....
