does anybody have any close-ups of their installed RTR full length side skirt extensions on s650 mustang? what I'm curious about is the actual finish texture of the exposed edge. is it a smooth satin finish? or speckled plastic to mimic the OEM? apologize if this has been addressed but I couldn't find any threads on this product specifically. thanks in advance.

I have them, just didnt install them yet, its more smooth satin finish, i had them on eco and its not the same color. But when car gets little bit dirty you wont see the difference

Definitely smooth satin finish. I am OCD and it took a while for me to get used to it, but now it doesn't bother me. Here is the best closeup I have.

thanks guys. i was thinking the texture mimicked factory finish on the skirts. I'm pretty particular also and worried it might bother me if the finish was different. i kind of need them i think though to go with the hp front splitter going on. i think the sides will complete the look. @Glidez66 thank you that picture is exactly what i was hoping for.

I thought about like a 3m truck bed spray. I tried to hold that can back about 18 in to spatter it on. not sure if that got it any more course or if that's just the way its gonna dry regardless

Wont ever get it perfect. But that is dam close. I'm currently waiting on the sem trim texture repair to cure its git a more charcoal tone then ill be putting a top coat of the krylon The way they come for such an expensive part is shameful I even had to drill out some holes and i didn't get the rubber inserts. I had to use thick washers and rivnuts.

Kinda sounds like the $130 pair I got off eBay that came without any hardware are just about as good! Likewise, I used rivnuts to install them. They could still use the texturing though.

For what they are, there's just no way I could justify $500 for the RTR version.
Then to hear this, I'm glad I went the route I did.

i went this route on the front splitter as well. it was a biiiiitch to fit and bend and squeeze to get both splitter halves lined up. took 3 or 4 quick grips to hold in line... sort of. i think the ebay ones are either b grade or parts the factory ran on their own after the contract was fulfilled. dark horse hp splitter was like a quarter the price but 4x a pain in the azz. and the hardware was junk. had to source and dig elsewhere. looks just as good tho!

They are the RTR ones just not branded as such. Honestly i trust the rivnuts more than those sketchy looking rubber press thread things. I had the nuts the push pins just not the rubber threaded parts. The push pins were garbage and did not hold right at all. Had to use ones from my body clip kits. I wont be purchasing any more rtr parts. Paying premium prices for not so premium parts.
