RTR Chin Splitter

Kinda' getting tired of slooooowly nosing into parking spaces for fear of damaging Chin Splitter!! Can it be replaced with a stock part? Thank You. "Semper Fi"

The "stock part" is an Air Design splitter sold at the Ford Accessory site. it looks good and has no clearance issues. The catch is that it only tapes on to the stock nub that sticks out front of the car. So you would have to bolt the stock front part back on to the car and then tape the Air Design on to it. It's a very mild design so tape seems to be holding OK. The kit also includes black silicone to put a bead above the tape. I assume that's for water protection of the tape.

I have that part and like it a lot. It's also a solid match to the side rocker panels.

For the sake of pointing folks in the right direction, the "Air Design" front splitter is still technically an aftermarket option (that can be purchased directly from Ford).

The "stock replacement" splitter would be one of the following part numbers:

• Performance Pack: PR3Z-17D957-CA
• Base (Non-PP): PR3Z-17D957-AA
