Rearview Mirror Vibration Fix?

So far I have about 1200 miles on the car, and I love it, but on some of the trips at around 70-75 mph the rearview mirror will have an intermittent rattle. It also blurs the image in it when this happens.
You can put your hand on the windshield and feel the vibration/energy from the car. I can hold the mirror and it stops.
Now the mirror itself is difficult to move and not loose. I believe its just the vehicle the way it's made that causes the energy transfer.

Looking for a solution. I've read that adding mass to the mirror will help or adding some sort of damping material like a shim or foam. Just looking for enough of a fix so it's rattle free at 75mph.

I believe the issue is the literal mirror itself and not what's its attached to mounting hardware wise. Maybe at the point where the literal mirror is attached to the nearest moutning piece. I tried pushing on various parts of the black/plastic housing around/behind it and that didn't stop it.

This has been present since the S550. It is just a resonant frequency though the body / glass to the mirror.

You could try 'Blu-tacking' some additional mass to the mirror as a temporary measure to see if a mass change will fix it.

I had the same issue and it took the service manager at the dealer to determine that the drive shaft was out of alignment from the factory. Once aligned, took about 85-90% of the vibration out and could actually identify the cars behind me when traveling above 70mph.
