Rear main seal- oil found near it

So was under car lubing vertical links and did a once over of the underbody. Ran my finger along the plate near the rear main seal and found oil. It looked overly glossy so that’s what made me do it. Also looked like maybe oil was near the back of the oil pan gasket material? Thinking possibly didn’t seal properly from factory. Havent noticed it and I’ve done 6 oil changes so far and no noticeable oil loss on the dipstick and when draining oil. Car runs fine. Just seeing if anyone has any ideas or has had the issue. I am going to get an appointment booked at the dealer. Just posting up for awareness and curiosity. Thanks. Also forgot to get pics as my hands were dirty already.

@highvoltage ....yes, it could be a an oil pan gasket but I wonder why it wouldn't have leaked sooner. To test you can wipe the area dry then drive it a bit. I would also look from above, maybe with a trouble light. Could some oil have been spilled during an oil change that ran down the block and over the oil pan - or - could your oil filter be a bit loose from the last oil change?

It’s not fresh oil, it’s not the filter as that isn’t near the rear main seal and no I have never spilled oil on my engine. It could have leaked sooner. Me noticing it now doesn’t mean it hasn’t been there before.
