As the title description, my wife mustang she bought preowned is pretty darn quiet compared to the 2020 LT1 camaro she had,but we gave to our 30yr old daughter.
I know the resonator can be changed to an x or h pipe,so I bought one off ebay its tig welded, [2.5" X-Pipe Mid-Pipe for Ford Mustang GT 15-21 S550 5.0L 302 cut Coyote V8] pretty cheap at $125.00 shipped.
I can ship it back if it doesn't fit,but has anyone installed the 15-21 xpipes on a 7th gen?

Dunno bout the X-pipe but I loved having a Roush axle-back on my '25 GT, another relatively affordable option if you want more sound.

And I owned a '21 Camaro LT1 with the active exhaust option, really miss it. You could make it do long chains of pops/bangs by downshifting >3K RPM, and prolong it when going downhill. Could basically play the car like a musical instrument. Even the base exhaust on V8 2019+ Camaros would do pops and bangs stock

The GT does as well just not a lot of pops you can hear it outside but its not like having a crackle pop tune. The biggest issue is if it does not have the active exhaust an x or an h pipe will sound tinny with the factory mufflers. Either get an axle back or go to a shop and have them delete the mufflers. Or go with an axle back muffler and x or h pipe.

I have 2024 GT with std exhaust. I did Ford Performance X-Pipe resonator delete and am quite happy with the result. The X-pipe did open up the sound nicely without being too raucous. I get some pops on over-run, but nothing extreme. The X-pipe plus install was maybe $300, so very reasonable cost-wise. If you want some real sound, I suspect the others here are correct, do X- or H-pipe plus cat-back. Just considerably more $, but you pay for what you want to hear! ;-)

Sounds good,I do all installs and rebuilds myself, im a professional welder by trade and have 20 plus years of conventional maching under my belt.
I had just rebuilt the TR6060 trans with new 1-4 and countershaft on my 09 Z06.
Pretty capable on the car work,I just dont want this GT super obnoxious for my wife, but its ti quite I stock form for her.
