Question for Forum - Headlamp Mod

Hi everyone, first time poster here.
I'm the proud owner of 2024 Mustang, shadow black, nite pony package. It has about 2200km (1367 miles) on it.

I wanted to get the forum's opinion on a possible exterior mod.

I'm interested in changing the headlamps from black bezel (frame) to chrome. I prefer the look of the chrome ones.

What's the best way to do this?

Some options are:

1.) Paint over the black bezel with chrome paint. (If I do that, which paint brand?)
2.) Purchase new chrome headlamps and sell black ones.
3.) Purchase used chrome headlamps and sell black ones.
4.) Trade black bezel headlamps for chrome.
5.) Something else?

Best option would be to trade with someone. I’d trade if you are in CA.

yeah I would trade with you for mine I would like the black ones... but we would both be out of healdights for the amount of time it would take to ship from Canada to Georgia and back and forth..

The best way is trade..many people would love to have your blacked out headlights. Find somebody near you.

something worth noting is that there is 4 versions of each headlight part. US pre-1/22/24 build, US post-1/22/24 build, EU pre-1/22/24 build, and EU pre-1/22/24 build. not sure what the difference is between them, but it would be best to trade, and when you do i recommend making sure you both are in the same camp to reduce the chance of issues

5.) something else? = purchase new chrome version, install new version, keep original version with original paperwork.

I don't have any suggestions other than trading. I would think the dark framed ones are harder to come by vs the chome ones so I bet you will be able to find a trade partner

Also, I agree wit you. I think for black Mustangs the chrome framed lights with untinted lenses look better. I think the black lights work better with lighter colors like white and vapor blue.

If only you lived near me I would’ve switched headlights with you in a heart beat lol. I wanted the blacked out headlights on mine
