I see your vision. One thing I would suggest taking off your stripes and then have the D Day wing stripes to replace them. Then if you want to go real adventurous section out panels over the body then air brush rivets on it. I also think in todays time if you wanted to paint kills on you do the german flags and not the swastika. Carry on and you do you.My attempt at a P51 inspired Mustang….

Or maybe watch them back-to-back, to combine the effect into what you're looking for?During the Korean war P-51Ds used this. I first seen it in an old movie where American pilots were blowing the tripe out of N. Korea trains, armour, etc. And for the life of me I can't remember or find the movie. Was like three or four pilots, and one was black. I must find that movie.
