Does Ford acknowledge all customer retail orders? I have seen comments people have received an email confirming their order. I have ordered a few vehicles over the past few years but have never received anything from Ford. Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated. BTW, I reside in Canada. Thanks.

Yes, Ford does.

You should receive a confirmation e-mail from Ford within 24 hours. Most receive confirmation within a few moments of the order going in. I received mine within an hour.

Some reasons for not receiving:

- The Dealer input your e-mail incorrectly
- The Dealer input their e-mail, not yours
- The Dealer didn't fill out that block
- You provided the Dealer an different account than used
- You mis-spelled your e-mail
- The e-mail is being received, but being sent to spam
- Anti-Virus is blocking the e-mail from being received

Along with confirmation an order has been accepted, you'll later receive e-mail notifications as to order status (received, scheduled for production, in production, built, shipped).

Not sure about Canada, but I received my confirmation before I got home from the Dealership. I got a VIN number the next day. One day short of 3 months order to delivery. The progress update reports are spotty, but your dealer can get current updates. My dealer kept me very well informed.

I stand corrected.

It reads like Ford Canada is one of the few who does not. I suspect to help protect peoples' privacy and reduce unsolicited and unwanted e-mails.

I had exactly zero communication from when I ordered to the day the car was dropped off at the dealer. Not a single email.
