These rocked up today. I'll see if I can find some time this weekend to install. The quality feels really good. Nice and solid.

They were ridiculously easy to fit - took longer to get all the stones out of the gap than it did to fit the covers. They fitted perfectly.

Awesome! I'll hopefully have some time this weekend to do mine. Glad its worked out well.

Wow, these are super easy to fit. I took the wheels off to clean the cavities, but if it wasn't for that, it would be a 5 min job and taking the wheels off wouldn't be needed.
Super happy with the fit and finish.

Still loving the beast. Dont get to drive it as much as I'd like. We've had such a wet winter here in Perth and dont really feel like taking it out in the rain. I still have 50km left and then break-in is done! Hopefully I'll get that done in the next week or so.

One accessory I wanted to add was improved seat belt guides for the Recaros. The DH has improved seat belt retention guides when compared to previous versions, but I still find it pops out every now and then.

These are the normal older Recaro guides.

These are the Dark Horse seats. You can see the guide is more tapered inwards to keep the belt in a bit better:

As a further improvement to hold the belt on even better, I found these on Etsy:

These are 3D printed and go over the existing guide as you can see. I wasnt entirely happy with the finish because you can see the printing lines and it has a fairly rough finish. The seller offered to send me two pairs so I have an extra set to play with and see if I can clean them up. The plan is to sand them down and see if I can get a smooth satin finish.

Here are the unsanded ones just as they arrived.

Fingers crossed I can get them cleaned up a bit so they look more OEM. I'll keep you guys posted on how that goes.

I must admit, your post above (Sept 10) made me rush out to the garage and double-check out my GT seats on the day.

Us peasants don't have a seat belt retainer though.

Still though, with the much warmer weather here in QLD, I've been enjoying the cooled seats for a number of weeks now. They do not disappoint.

Straps work well for me

In both my 22 and 25 convertibles I never run my seatbelt through any of those retainers. PITA!

I chose the Recaros purely because of their looks. Especially in the track focused Dark horse, they just match the character of the car so well. Having used them over the last year, I just adore them. They hold me in so well and I find them very comfortable. The car has really good AC so personally I don't miss the cooling function.

Did a trip from Perth to Dunsborough today (about 300km). Not that I care about fuel consumption in this car but I was rather surprised at how well it did.

Thanks! I'm still very much in love with this car. The journey was long, but very much worth the wait.

Those holes were a problem on all S650 Mustangs globally. Ecoboost, GT and DH. Ford did end up changing the fender liner on cars half way through 2025 I think, so newer ones should be ok. Easy to check yours and see if you've got them or not.
