I love those same tires on the street on my car.

I can tell at the limit that they are not as grippy as the OEM Trofeo RS, but that is kind of a "duh" observation, and I should not be at the limit on public streets, anyway. I have been happy with their performance.

Tire damage from rubbing

Ahhh I think I now know why you are rubbing. You are still on 35 series rubber vs 30 series rubber. ChatGPT says the overall diameter on your 295/35 is an additional .8” - so if it’s just BARELY rubbing for you I should be 💯 fine.

I added the wheels / tires but went down to 305/30 and 315/30 and I have a SHIT ton of room lol.

even after I add the 1” drop I’ll still have so much room with the 30 series tires that I don’t believe we will rub.

look at the wheel gap 🤣

Your tires wont rub, but you'll be dragging the nose and underside of your car on curbs, speedbumps, and driveways. Trust me, I know from experience. My front splash shield was almost completely destroyed after a year.

That was the reason I went to 35 profile tires. Taking the fender lips off eliminated any tire rub. 285s up front will get the tires flush with the fender.

Yeah maybe so- not that worried about it too much tho because it’s not a daily driver. I’ve only put 6000 miles on it in a year. I’m also extremely careful about how / where I drive. Hopefully I don’t have to replace these bits every year lol
