Well that explains why you have a loose cable.
It would be a customer removed tracking device, along with a visit to a lawyer if that is the case.Dealer Installed tracking device??? Did you buy the car new?
What did they charge for this "security" system? I can track the location of my car through the My Ford app so to me this seems a little silly and useless considering that it is built into the car at the OEM level. First thing a car thief would be doing is unplugging that and throwing it out of the window. Fleet car or company car it makes a little bit of sense, but personal use not so much.Must be it. Thanks!

Exactly what I thought. This is more for fleet cars or rentals. What did they charge for this "security" system? Nope, I would be the new owner of that dealership. That would be known as an illegal monitoring device that I didn't consent to being placed in my vehicle.https://www.guidepointsystems.com/
Dealers, new, used cars especially, will install trackers for repo.
If you are making payments, it's for their benefit, not yours.
It looks like a tracker some dealerships put them on the car if it is financed so they can repo them. Get ride of it.Well that explains why you have a loose cable.
Whatever you have plugged in there. It's not factory.
