Pretty sure that is part of the safety features that are in the car! Pre-collision braking & lane keeping. Going to be looking for a good dashcam myself! There is a usb connection built into the rear-view mirror assembly for easy connection.

It's the camera for adaptive cruise control stop & go functionality.
