Is there an easy way to disable exhaust sounds through the speakers?

I belive @GrabThatBlue already posted the correct address in the previous thread but maybe there is some misunderstanding, so I'll try and help.

Your EcoBoost does for sure play Engine noise over the speakers. You can turn it off though by downloading and purchasing a liscense for the FORSCAN SW and changing the code to disable it.

In the first thread on the FORSCAN forum there is a spreadsheet, look for the ACM tab, thats the module you need to change. The address is as follows:

727-01-01 xxxx xxxx *x--

There will be three blocks of numbers, you will need to change the first number in the third block.

Your car should have the following in the 3rd block:

xxxx xxxx 3EE3

Change that 3 to a 2.

That disables the Software Sound Enhancement or ESE/EV.

You can verify you car has this enabled by looking up your car's As Built data on the Motorcraft website and looking at that address. I hope this explains it a bit better.
Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. And your patience.

OP here again. I tried this today after getting the right cable and watching some videos about using the Forscan software. I also went to Ford and downloaded the full as built file for my car.
After connecting I went to the ACM module and saved it. The very first line was the one I needed to edit. But I noticed a couple of other lines further down that had a little pull down saying "Write" and "Restore". I didn't know what to make of those since I hadn't made any changes but I pressed on.
The first line was exactly like the poster here said it would look and the section I needed to edit read 3EE3. I change the first 3 to a 2 and I noticed one of the two "E"s had change to a "D". I don't think I did that and again I pressed on, thinking that might be how it's supposed to work.
I clicked the button to write all and a message popped up saying there was a checksum error in the line I had edited and asked if I wanted to write it anyway. Since I had a backup of the module I said yes and Forscan reported it had successfully written the module.
I turned off the ignition and then started the car. I checked that the radio still worked and took the car for a ride. I couldn't tell any difference in the way the car sounded. This is in a convertible with the top down and maybe turning off the engines sounds has a greater impact in a closed car. Or maybe I didn't really succeed in turning off those sounds because of a mistake I made.
So I'd like comments about what I've explained. Is it significant that changing the first 3 to a 2 seemed to create a change in the next character of the last quartet of the line? Should I attempt to re-edit the line? Or maybe reload the module from the backup and start over?

The last 2 digits are checksum values and are automatically changed by the SW when you disabled the ESE. They are represented on the spreadsheet by dashes. For instance:

xxxx xxxx xx--

Notice the dashes at the end. Those are the checksum values. I also always get the same pop up when making a change in Forscan. As long as you are sure your entering the correct values you are good.

As far as the difference in the sound goes all I can say is it made a difference to my ears, but then again I never really run the car in quiet mode either. It could be that if you are already in quiet mode the ESE noise is negligible.

This could be a case of just different people having different sensitivity to noise. I would recommend running the car as is for a bit and trying different modes to see if you can tell a difference. To me running in sport or track it became way too quiet but thats just my opinion.

1st post. Bought a 2025 gt few weeks ago and last week I got my stereo upgraded.
Focal highs and mids, 2 JL 10w3's and 2 JL amps. With in the first minute of leaving the store I had massive exhaust sound coming out the bass box. I took it back to the store and they tried blaming ford for fake engine noise but this was their first encounter with it.They told me to take it to ford and get them to turn it off. It felt like they where just passing the blame to ford,They offered to put all stock speakers back in so I did (full refund )

Came home that night started googling and found this forum.Saw a few forscan post about same issue so I bought odb cable and went to work.Turned off ESE anc was off, changed speedometer to 300 and did the welcome lights and gear display. Called stereo store asked if they wanted a second shot I'm pretty sure I turned off the engine noise (I couldn't hear it with out bass box) so not a 100% it's fixed but this time I'll pay for labour no matter what. ANYWAY it worked ! no more fake engine noise through subs and my eye balls shake now when it's pounding. Thanks mustang7g and it's users you helped me tons!

Did you by chance encounter the "checksum error" message while using the Forscan software?

Sounds like a great system! I too am planning on putting 2 10's or 12's into a '25, but want a ported enclosure. I'm going to have to research this Forscan so I get the settings right. First two settings I need to disable are ESE and ANC.
Sounds like you are pushing over 1K watts. Wondering if you are seeing any dimming at all or have any issue electrically with that system? I plan on getting the Big 3 done, which is supposed to help with that.

I only had to disable ESE I set it to 0 the ANC was already set to 0 (off) .No power problems. Yes 1k with my amps. I had a dual jl 12" box from my previous vehicle but the box was too big to get in the trunk or through the back seat. The stereo place built me a custom sealed box with the 2 10w3s but it didn't hit hard enough. They had a pre made dual 10w0 ported box I got them to pull out the 10w0's and put in the the 10w3's. Now it's pounding. I got some speaker grills coming tomorrow.

I just saw a video of the new challenger or charger the one that's their new EV. It was a "Cold start" video LOL It had vroom vroom sounds coming from the stereo. I had to say your pretty sad when you have to buy a car that is trying to sound like a good old American V8 when you can just buy a GT Mustang?
Edit: now it seems the GT's are doing the same thing.

OP here again. I normally never drive the car with the top raised but I did yesterday and discovered that muffler sounds seemed to be coming from the front of the car, which meant it must be coming from the speakers - even though I had attempted to turn that feature off with Forscan.
So when I got home, I pulled fuse 32 from the fuse box near the passenger footwell, which is a 20A for "Audio" according to the owner's manual. This seems to disable all sound from the speakers from every source and I could definitely tell a big difference while driving the car with the top raised and the windows up. Couldn't tell much difference with the top and windows down - still too loud for my damaged ear.
I stopped by a muffler shop earlier that day and spoke to the owner with my concerns. I had a copy of the parts diagram showing how my car with active exhausts doesn't have a resonator (confirmed by visual inspection), and he said adding the resonator was the only feasible thing that might reduce the sound level. He had actually pulled the stock exhaust off a V8 Mustang only a day or so earlier but unfortunately that resonator won't work. So I'm going to order the stock 4cyl resonator and have the muffler shop put it in. That will take a little while since the online dealer doesn't stock the part. I'll update my posts with the results.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll go the 2 10's route in ported as well, which should be more than enough for good bass.
