Brand new to mustangs and to this forum. We have one S197 and two S550s - rather unusual story that brings us into the mustang family (details at this LINK - same as posted in Mustang6G introduction). Interested in all things mustang, especially in what is up and coming! So watch content on both 6G and 7G.

Hello. Kinda new here kinda old everywhere else. Joined Feb 8 and posted on Convertible Mustang a concern about my pending order. You can see that thread for status.
Wife and I are Soooooo looking forward to our first brand new ordered car in over 50 years of marriage.
Planning to break the pony in (If it ever gets Built) on a 6000 mile trans-canadian loop road trip from down state Illinois east then west and back home. First oil change likely out east before crossing the boarder.

I'd opt for having it towed instead. This way you could break it in slow at home. I believe from Ohio to Texas it was $950 on a flatbed. Would of taken forever at break-in speeds to get home. The car is barely broken in now. Can't wait. Going to install an H pipe and floor it to see how fast she can go once I hit the 2K point.

Good to meet you and thanks.
The pony will be delivered to local dealer for PDI.
I understand the break-in procedures and my road trip rhythm will be quite a good fit.
We travel back roads with a small dog to enjoy the vista.
I stop at least every 90 minutes, and rarely travel more than 250 miles a day so the total trip will be well over a month of leisurely "non-steady highway speeds".
At my place in life it's the journey and not a race.

I was going to do the exact same thing with my daughter and her bantam rooster. May have taken a week to get back. But would've been a nice tripcation.

New here, currently waiting for the delivery of my 2024 GT in Yellow Splash 🥰. This will be my first brand-new car and my first American car.

I love V8s, but I also love nimble cars. I was contemplating a Miata for a long time, but seeing progressive EU regulations and V8/muscle car market in general, I realized the MX-5 can wait a couple of years.

Hi all! I traded in my 2021 Bronco Sasquatch on Friday for this 2024 Mustang GT. It is quite a different driving experience but I'm loving it so far. I've always wanted a big engine sports car and was finally able to make it happen. I look forward to learning more about it both on the road and in this forum.

Welcome. Nice color. The heads of my family talked us all into Mustang GTs. Just wish they had a bigger variety of colors. Mine is black.

Thank you! Ford seems to be very conservative with paint colors. It's the same complaint over on the Bronco forums. Lots of "safe" color choices, very few exciting ones. Can't really go wrong with black though.

I hear there's some kind of film you can have a car covered in, and is available in all kinds of colors. If so, Black Cherry would work for me.
