There is a soft touch plastic coating being used on consumer goods that does break down into a sticky substance after a few years. I hope to god they did not use it in any part of a vehicle interior. I have it on a HOTAS setup from Saitek. Was $200 when it was new and had a soft rubber texture to it. Now is a sticky slimy mess and is unusable.
The OP's car is only a few months old - it will not be Ford it will be something added by the dealer etc as covered above.

I don't believe it has anything to do with a dealer cleaning product. I got my car with all the plastic (like covering the seats etc.) all intact. I asked them not to prep it or do anything to it.

I noticed this on a prior '25 Mustang I purchased brand new as well, so I can only conclude it's Ford's manufacturing/material choice.

Yes, but why have you been the only person to have a problem? Nothing sticky in my car or my S550 and both exposed to plenty of heat.

I noticed on the absolute hottest Georgia days last summer when car was new the carbon looking dash trim was sorta soft but was normal when cooled. Could just be the plastic outgassing since might be 140 degrees in there
