Instant MPG error

My mustang would never show higher than 30mpg for instant mpg, even coasting down a hill, even though the bar goes all the way to 40. I have even had full tanks get over 30mpg average, but the instant would still never go above 30. My coworker just got a new mustang and hers will peg out to 40mpg. In looking I noticed the instant information cards on the side of the infotainment screen only shows 0-30, while her car shows 0-40. I can't find a setting for this, but I am sure it is related to why the mpg screen in the instrument cluster will never show more than 30. Anyone else have this issue, and/or find a fix?

More weirdness. The right dash in my 2024 Eco-Boost is always different than the left screen. Supposedly, the so-called upgrade fixes the issue, but it didn't for me. The Ford dealer is insisting I get the software checked so they can get some sort of code to send to Ford. That gets done Monday during the first oil change (≈2,200 miles). We'll see.

I was hoping there was another fix besides a software update I could do myself. I did fix my average mpg reading to be more accurate using the Engineering Test Mode.
