Looks good. If the quality was up to snuff when you purchased, then that is what counts. A buddy of mine bought rims for his Bronco from a popular rim company, and the rim had a hairline crack that caused the tire to lose air.

After doing a video of the testing and showing the rim had a crack, the company then finally refunded some money, but refused to send another rim because he had put the video up on social media. Of course, they said it for another reason, but yeah. Sometimes it not where, but who you are dealing with.

I think it's important to know if the vendor has an account on here. That's boycott-worthy behavior.

The problem is mostly not the machining of the parts, which results a normal buyer can visually assess, but the professional material testing is the issue.
There are things like ultrasonic testing, surface crack testing, radiographic testing, chemical composition analysis, destructive strength and impact testing, specific reports to be made during raw material production etc.
Everything very expensive, not just the procedures and certifications themselves, but the material to be vasted once defects have been detected.

I work in the pressure vessel industry (not as a housekeeper) - many power plant owners for example simply have a general requirement "No China Steel".

Most wheels from other manufacturers are made by the same Alibaba suppliers. I think you were smart. I ordered a set for my M2 the BMW 827M wheel, all forged custom offsets, colors for under $1500 what would have cost over $4500. I will chime in here as well let you know how it goes, not for a BMW M2 but they make wheels for Mustangs as well. The key is finding the right supplier. I was referred a company and so far so good. We shall see.

A guy I know who has a G80 M3 got a set and they were very nice. They balanced well, fit and finish and it was a forged wheel.

Im not getting rid of my OEM wheels just in case.

You cannot see defects inside the material with your eyes.

Ask yourself why it is difficult finding a local dealer ... no quality documentation for the material the rims had been made of, so no business owner wants to be held responsible for safety relevant stuff from wherever China I guess.

I saw a similar thing on the BMW forum, great looking wheels for about $300 each. Yes, as suggested and noted above, many vendors sell crap made in China. Some of it is fine. If you don't track the car and just cruise on the highway, it's probably adequate. I've seen aftermarket wheels crack after track use, and that can literally kill you.

The manufacturer I use has all the NHTSA and other certificates. They make wheels for other manufacturers that are based in the States but at a third of the price.

I just got my Alibaba wheels for my M2...they came out great.

I was very hesitant ordering from a company on Alibaba, but I am shocked how they turned out. They balanced using only 2.5oz of weights and the fit and finish on them are excellent. They are forged with 6061 T6 aluminum.

I was going to pay $1100 to have the OEM 930s painted silver but went with these instead for just a fraction more amount of money.

The fronts weighed 24.9lbs at 19X10 ET11 and the rears weighed 24.7lbs at 20X11 ET11 as well. Somewhat heavier than the OEM 827M wheel but still quite a bit lighter than the OEM 930s which weighed over 30lbs for both the front and rear. The actual BMW 827M wheel is over $4k for a set, these were less than $2K delivered and with the OEM BMW center caps and "M"logo on the wheels.

I always loved the S650 Performance Package wheel. Its just they are so heavy and not a fan of the color. Here is a forged version of this wheel and they weigh quite a bit less and you can custom the offset and widths. If I ever get another Mustang definitely going with these.
