You are confusing PHEV and FHEV. FHEV batteries are small enough to fit under a seat etc

Fusion Energi is very old tech now - things have moved on a lot and Ford have been producing FHEV cars for years now. Here is an example - although there is no scale you get an idea of the size.

There are loads of FHEV cars with HV battery under the boot floor or seat. Ford make them such as the Kuga / Escape FHEV. A FHEV battery is only 1.5 to 2 kWh.

Car makers are well aware of the safety requirements.

huh, i had no idea regular hybrid batteries were so small. thank you much for the education! i don't pay a terribly large amount of attention to the ev, phev, and hybrid advancements, so i was operating under the assumption nothing had really changed, plus i didn't know standard hybrid batteries were so much smaller, like i said previously

Ok, 230lbs and most are reporting about 260lbs for the entire system. That is a lot of added weight on an already heavy car. Especially up front

FHEV is primarily used for economy but can also be for performance, examples being Ferrari and McLaren. Corvette mentioned above is done for performance.

Incorrect. FHEV is a hybrid electric vehicle that self charges not an EV that self charges (don't exist). The clue is that an EV is not a FHEV, different names for different things.

No problems at all - it is you that seems to struggle with simple terminology, confusing an EV with a FHEV for example (an EV is NOT a hybrid)

No I ignored it. Porsche use the turbo NAME on many cars including EV's without a turbo!

And as explained (with evidence) many times an e-turbo is NOT a hybrid drivetrain.
