How to Reset PATS

After significant study, I decided that my PATS (Passive Anti Theft System) has been triggered. Never mind how (it's too long a story unless it's necessary to recount), and I need to reset it so the car will start and otherwise make me happy.

There's a procedure for this. Anyone know?

I hate that Ford made the Passive Anti Theft System so hard to turn on. I still haven't figured out if mine is on or not. I am hopeful my assumption that it's on by default is correct.

It may be more than PATS. I'm taking it to a dealer Monday.

Well, Phooey on me. Disassembled the fuse box, put it all back together carefully, and car is fixed! Musta been something loose. Whew!
