This afternoon had a unique happenstance occur when I cranked my 2024 GT. Putting it into reverse, the engine sort of chugged weakly and the car refused to move. Put back into park then reverse again, same phenomenon. Put in drive it moved forward fine. Dropped it back into reverse and, this time, all was well. Que pasa?

I think you should go get it checked. Sounds like a transmission problem?

There is a transmission recall for Mustangs not being able to go in reverse. 2025 is specified, but who knows if it also affects 2024?

It could also be a hidden TSB. They do that a lot too.

Enter your VIN at www.ford.com and look at recalls.
