On the S650 the PP wheels are only 9” Fronts and 9.5” Rears… just FYI

I was probably drinking... or thinking about it. Yes front is 9 rears is 9.5 which makes it really messy when you buy a pre-production car from ford with 550 miles on it and the tires are f'd, then one of the rims you discover are bad 2 months later... so you decide to "get new rims" but....

You just spent money on a whole set of new staggered tires and NOBODY makes a set of staggered rims in this setup .... in stock ANYWHERE, so what I did was just buy a refurbed rim.. get sent a 9.5 and have to pay to return it and wait more days to get the 9" wide version just to be able to use the car. they were all like "But you can use an 8.5 with that tire" NAH lets not go backwards here.

Sorry about the run-on sentence and thank you for finally giving me a fun place to vent my annoyance with the PP tire sizes.. and why you steal my dog?

I ended up getting 19x10 on all four with Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 tires.

@MidwayJ, sport contact 02 is a possibility for my next tire. did yours come with pzeros and how do you like new tires compared to last? mostly handling, warm dry traction, and hard asphalt launch?

I had the ECS 02 on my S550 and they gripped and handled very well. My new '26 did come with pzero summer tires. They weren't as bad as I expected, especially for handling, but it was easier to break loose pulling out from a parking lot onto a road with some throttle, etc. I don't do many hard launches from a dead stop.

Hi all - I’m thinking about procuring some Factory Reproductions GTD replica wheels to use as a “summer” set. They’re flow formed and seem to be a little lighter than the stock PP wheels, and I dig the look. My car is Shadow Black, and while I would like the Chrome/Black setup (classic), I would likely go with the Black version. I’ll also likely be going with a staggered setup, 19x11/19x10.

What says the community?
-Anyone think this is a bad idea - either the wheel in general or Factory Reproductions brand?
-Should I consider the chrome version or just go with black? I know black on black on black is overly common, but it looks mean .
