I installed Kooks LTH with cat delete. It sounds great but is extremely loud when taking off from a stop and in stop and go traffic. I also installed an H pipe, stock active exhaust from there back. Does anyone have the same except with green cats? I'd like to mellow the exhaust a bit but not sure if the price of the cats are worth it. From what I've searched it's ~1,500+ for the cats.

Have you looked at something to replace the h-pipe to tone it down a bit.. maybe a borla resonator or something similar.. cheaper than the green cats..

Run it in quiet mode. That is like stock track mode was. From there its just too loud for me. People learn it the hard way.

I just did the stage 2 whipple & stainless works - for ease of installing cats. The shop would not install the cats, due to them getting melted along with stockers. I'm sure there are cats out there that will withstand the blower for a while but I'm just not that motivated as of yet. kept the stock mufflers.

It's loud AF. Like, step into it and everyone around knows it's you.
If I keep the rpms under about 1500, I don't tick off too many neighbors. But leaving the back roads on to the high speed 2 lane near me, she's louder than an open pipe Harley.

I'd love to put in some extra resonators or something where the cats would go to tame at least some sound. And the start up... whoa.

THIS! I did a couple start up tests and set the start up to always be in quiet mode. Otherwise, when I fire her up in the house attached garage, the whole freakin' house shakes.

Cats will tone it down a little bit but it's more about smoothing out the blappy raspy sound than volume

I had the X pipe and lots of raspy sound so I swapped for H pipe. The raspy is not much at all now but both are same as far as loud...
The X pipe with stock exhaust manifold, before headers, was the best sound. IMHO
