I didn't want to post two threads, but I have two separate issues.

The first is the battery. I got the car in October 2023, and it was one of those that was probably sitting around as it was built in June of that year. It's been my daily driver ever since. In recent months, I drive it to work (about 3 miles away) and then home most of the time. So, like 6 miles per day on average. I take it out for longer drives across town a couple times a month. Lately, the FordPass app has been informing me regularly that the car is going to sleep to preserve battery, and that I need to drive it to reconnect with the app. I had seen this from time to time in the past, but lately it's happening often. Today I drove the car about 10 miles, and almost as soon as I got home, I received the notification. I plan to drive it over 100 miles tomorrow, so hopefully that helps. I have not checked the battery, as it's pretty apparent it's getting low, but does seem odd for there to potentially be an issue with it given the age and the car having less than 7K miles, unless of course, I really do need to be driving it over longer distance regularly.

Second issue is pressing in the clutch. Sometimes, when I am going slow (5-10 MPH) and need to downshift, when I press the clutch in I hear a light tapping that sounds like it's coming from the center of the car- like, in front of the gearbox and below the dashboard. It doesn't happen all the time and certainly not during regular driving. It's only when I'm off the gas and going slow, like stuck in traffic, or making a turn at a low speed and I press the clutch in. It's not loud or hard... just a light tapping sound. This has been there since I got the car but is so infrequent and doesn't seem to be bothering anything.

Thanks!

I was welcomed by a completely dead battery this past Saturday in my 24 GT delivered in Sep 24. Albeit it’s been in hibernation and started twice but it was dead. Called Ford Assist and had a tech there in 30m. Got the stang to its next parking location and done for now. Ordered a lithium jump starter and a new Optima Yellow top. I don’t want to deal with battery issues on a new car. The joke is if you have cables or a starter in the trunk how do you access them? I can fit in the back seat and rear access to trunk. Geez!
